This is Part 2 of a multi-session workshop that meets on two days. To register for this workshop, please register for Part 1 and you will automatically be signed up for Part 2 as well. (You can find Part 1 by searching the event title in MyPrincetonU.)

View an exhibit and interact with the artwork by creating your own! The curators of the Mudd Library exhibition, “Credit Line, Please: Photographs by Elizabeth Menzies” invite session participants to view the exhibit of Elizabeth Menzies’ photographs. Menzies was a mid-century freelance photographer whose black and white photos of Princeton’s campus and people give a window into university life in the 1930s through the 1960s. At the session, participants will view the exhibit, talk with the curators and view and handle other Menzies photographs and books from Special Collections that go beyond the exhibit cases. Brandon Johnson, the Library’s Communications Strategist and ace photographer, will also be present at our session to talk about his own photography and processes. Then, inspired by Menzies’ work, we will head out on campus with disposable black and white film cameras to create our own photographic work. In our second session, we will distribute and share participants’ photographs, and each participant will have the opportunity to create a mini-exhibit of their work.
