The Research Mentorship Skills for Graduate Students series is a collaboration between the Graduate School’s GradFUTURES program and Elevating Mentorship Initiative.
If you are a graduate student mentoring (or will mentor) an undergraduate or graduate researcher, this series is for you. This summer cohort is open to all Princeton graduate students (and postdocs) across all four divisions, and required for graduate student mentors in the 2026 ReMatch+ program. The curriculum is based on nationally-recognized Entering Mentoring program by CIMER (Center for Improvement of Mentored Experience in Research) and will be facilitated by Princeton faculty and graduate school deans.

Learning Outcomes:
Graduate Students will gain

  • Knowledge of best practices of mentorship in research
  • Tools to implement concepts to actionable approaches
  • Effective mentorship skills to train research mentees
  • Articulating your mentorship philosophy and plan
