2025 AAAS CASE Intro to Science Policy: Informational Webinar

• Are you interested in careers in the field of science policy?
• Do you want to learn more about how to advocate and influence policy as a graduate researcher in science, engineering or social science field? 

Consider participating in Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering or CASE workshop is hosted by AAAS (American Association for Advancement in Science). As a sponsoring institution for AAAS-CASE, Princeton University will nominate 3-4 graduate students to participate in 2025 CASE workshop. The trip may include additional opportunities for congressional visits. 

Background: 
The annual Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering or CASE workshop is hosted by AAAS (American Association for Advancement in Science). The workshop is an opportunity for graduate students to learn about science policy, advocacy, and the federal policymaking process, empowering participants to become a voice for research throughout their careers. Graduate students can participate via nominated by sponsoring institution. 2025 CASE workshop is scheduled on April 6-9 in Washington D.C.

Eligibility and Logistics:
Graduate Students from natural sciences, engineering, and social and behavioral sciences are eligible to apply. This workshop is open to international students. AAAS CASE workshop is an introduction to science policy. Therefore, those who have limited experience or knowledge of science policy and advocacy, but interested to learn more about science policy, are encouraged to apply. Read here for more detailed information from AAAS. Princeton University's sponsorship for AAAS CASE includes registration fees, travel, lodging and meal expenses. 

Application:
GradFUTURES (Graduate School) and Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment (SPIA) will adminster the selection process to nominate 3-4 graduate students from Princeton. If you want to participate, please apply here for consideration.
