The 2024 cohort of Future Faculty series for science and engineering graduate students and postdocs is scheduled on July 29-31 12-4 pm with a bonus online session on August 7th at 12PM. The in person part of this series will wrap with a reception on July 31 at 4:30 pm.
Day 1: Faculty Landscape, hiring metrics, Funding, and Open Science
Day 1 of Future Faculty series for science and engineering will include following topics:
• the landscape of faculty roles in diverse institutions (R1, liberal arts college and community colleges)
• funding: sources, discovery, lifecycle, resources and support
• open science, research transparency and reproducibility
• success metrics: data-driven insights and survey-based hiring trends
