Join us for a trip to New York where we will visit 5 different restaurants and try out dishes from different cuisines from Latin America and the Caribbean. We will start our way from the South in Brasil and move our way through the map. Each dish will be accompanied with a short history of its roots and its value within its home country. We will spend time reflecting on Latino culture and values as we embark in a culinary trip through the beauty of Latin America.
Meet the Facilitator:
Laura Sandoval Vergara is a junior in the neuroscience department at Princeton. Born in Colombia and raised in what truly deserves its title as a melting pot of cultures: Miami, FL; Laura has grown to appreciate Latin American and Caribbean cuisines throughout the years, seeing food as a point of connection and bonding where cultures can intertwine.
Claudacia (Dacy) Clemmons is a junior in the Neuroscience department at Princeton on the pre-med track. Her family hails from Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she was surrounded by a plethora of Haitian and Caribbean dishes growing up, thanks to her family and the strong presence of community in the area.

**NEW WINTERSESSION TRIPS NO-SHOW PENALTY**
Given the limited number of trips available, the long waitlists for trips, and the significant investment of resources to make trips possible, trip registrants who are no-shows and did not cancel their registration with wintersession@princeton.edu at least 72 hours in advance of their trip will be charged $50 via their student account.
The only cancellations that will be accepted within 72 hours prior to the trip without the penalty fee must include a doctor’s note. Otherwise the $50 no-show fee will be charged.
**ALL TRIP ATTENDEES MUST COMPLETE THE Wintersession 2024 Trip Assumption of Risk and Release Form: https://forms.gle/sVJEW8cUAzenypwd6 If you are attending multiple trips, you only need to complete the waiver once.**
