You will discover just how simple it can be to create and manage Course Listings using Site Builder's Course Importer. Spoiler alert: it does not involve large amounts of copying-and-pasting, and updates to course information are made automatically.
This class is one hour in length.
Objectives:
- To learn how to import course content into your website using a feed from the Registrar's Office
- to recognize the advantages of having course information automatically updated
- to review the many configuration options available in Site Builder's Content List Blocks.
Hybrid Classes:
Please Note: Classes will be held at Robertson Hall, room 040. Robertson Hall is the home of SPIA, located on Washington Road next to the Fountain of Freedom. Room 040 is downstairs, here's detailed building information, you'll find the Level 0 Department Floor Plan in the table of contents.
There is room for 7 in-person attendees, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please email the instructor (veale@princeton.edu) your attendance preference.
A Zoom link will be emailed to participants prior to class. Please note: you must be logged into Zoom with your University account in order to attend class.
Materials:
Feel free to review the class outlines ahead of time. They are available in this Google drive directory. Please note: you must be logged into Google with your University account in order to access these materials.
We will be working on this website in class.
Requirements:
The class is hands-on in nature, so if you are planning to attend via Zoom, you should have enough display area for your web browser (for conducting class exercises) as well as your Zoom screen.
If you do not have access to a large enough monitor, please attend the class in-person.
If you are attending class over Zoom, it is requested that you leave your camera on if bandwidth allows.
