Learn how to take advantage of Site Builder's Book module to simplify and clarify the presentation of more complex subject matter in your website. Discover the advantages of keeping content such as guides, handbooks, or documentation, as HTML pages in your site instead of using downloadable files.
This class is one hour in length.
Objectives:
- To consider how to limit use of third-party file types (PDF, Word, etc.) to avoid compatibility and accessibility issues
- to learn about the optional “Immersive” style and why you may want to use it.
Hybrid Classes:
Please Note: Classes will be held at Stokes Library, room 070, also known as the Stokes Viz Hub. Stokes Library is located in the lower level of Wallace Hall, a short stroll down Shapiro Walk from Robertson Hall.
There is room for 12 in-person attendees, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Laptops are available, but you may find you prefer using your own (if you have one). Please email the instructor (veale@princeton.edu) your attendance preference.
A Zoom link will be emailed to participants prior to class. Please note: you must be logged into Zoom with your University account in order to attend class.
Materials:
Feel free to review the class outlines ahead of time. They are available in this Google drive directory. Please note: you must be logged into Google with your University account in order to access these materials.
We will be working on this website in class.
Requirements:
The class is hands-on in nature, so if you are planning to attend via Zoom, you should have enough display area for your web browser (for conducting class exercises) as well as your Zoom screen.
If you do not have access to a large enough monitor, please attend the class in-person.
If you are attending class over Zoom, it is requested that you leave your camera on if bandwidth allows.
Questions:
