By learning the basics of how to modify the structure of a page, you will gain a higher-level understanding of the platform’s flexibility, and how to use that flexibility to achieve specific design and content management goals.
You will also discover the value of categorizing your content using taxonomy terms, in order to gain better control over where and how your content is placed within your website. This can be used to create useful “pathways of discovery” to offer your visitors a higher-quality experience, and to increase your visitors’ odds of finding the information they came looking for.
This class is 90 minutes in length.
Objectives:
- To be introduced to the entire parallel page-editing method that lives behind the Layout button
- to understand how to categorize content with taxonomy terms, and how to reap the benefits of doing so.
