Kick off the day with opening remarks that set the tone for the conference, followed by a relaxed brunch to connect with fellow attendees and speakers. Start your day with inspiration and community! Brunch will be available until 1pm.

Discover how to create intentional spaces for dialogue across differences using the Living Room Conversations model. As leaders around campus you may be called on to facilitate difficult dialogues and we want to offer this session as a resource. This session will introduce tools to foster open, respectful, and caring discussions on tough topics. Facilitated by LivingRoom Conversations

Take a pause to recharge and reflect during our wellness break. Join themed mingling sessions to connect with others around shared interests in a relaxed, supportive environment.

This session is for Service Focus Fellows to prepare for the year ahead. Learn more about how to integrate service into your academic experience and engage in meaningful projects that benefit the community. It is only for Service Focus fellows and staff.

Interested in grassroots activism and advocacy? This session covers the fundamentals of grassroots organizing, providing practical tools and strategies to build community movements and effect change from the ground up. This session will feature a panel of community partners from Resistencia en Acción NJ, a grassroots migrant justice organization, and Orchid House, a cafe and community hub, who will share their valuable expertise, insights and experiences, offering diverse perspectives.

Designed for those who volunteer with projects and programs that work with minors, this training session will include an overview of university policy, interactive activities, best practices for working with minors. This is a session that is mandatory for all youth-focused programs and projects.

Step into leadership with confidence! This session offers practical tools and tips for leading projects and organizations, from using My PrincetonU and coordinating logistics to understanding our Partnership Principles and other Pace Center resources.

This session dives into the challenges and opportunities of serving immigrant communities through language education and advocacy. This session will feature a panel of community partners from from local organizations, like Resistencia en Acción NJ, who will share their valuable expertise, insights and experiences, offering diverse perspectives.

Got a new idea for a service group, special project, etc.? Learn how to craft and present project proposals and initiate special projects that align with community needs. This session provides the framework to turn your ideas into action.

Take a break to refuel and reflect with snacks that nourish the body and the spirit. This interactive break invites you to embrace the concept of civic love—connecting over shared values and dedication to community care. Plus there will be treats from Terhunes, a local farm, orchard, and business.

Join local leaders from Trenton and Princeton as they share their perspectives on community engagement and local politics. This session provides valuable insights into navigating leadership and policy at the local level.

Explore the connection between personal wellness and effective service leadership. This session focuses on self-care practices and wellness frameworks that ensure sustainability and well-being while engaging in service work. Attendees will learn how to create personal and communal wellness plans, identify campus and local resources, and find rest in community. The session includes a guided meditation.
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Learn about the refugee resettlement process in New Jersey, from partners and students from The Afghan Education Student Outreach Project (AESOP), and how local organizations are supporting newly arrived families. This session offers insights into the challenges and successes of welcoming refugees into our communities.
4:40 PM – 5:50 PM
Join us for the closing panel, where community leaders, including 120 East State and the Princeton YMCA, will explore the tools and practices needed for building collective power. This session will focus on creating inclusive spaces and fostering collaboration for collective liberation.
