Mt. Tammany, named after the Lenape Chief Tamanend, is a prominent peak in the Delaware Water Gap, located on the New Jersey side of the Delaware River. It is part of the Kittatinny Mountains and is a popular destination for hikers, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The summit of Mount Tammany can be reached via several hiking trails, including the Red Dot and Blue Dot trails, which provide varying levels of difficulty. Join OA Leaders for a beginner/intermediate level hike up the mountain while making new friends and learning about the area’s history. You will be responsible for providing your own meals during the trip.

OA+ trips are open to all Princeton University undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff.
To request disability related accommodations, please contact the Outdoor Action office at oa@princeton.edu or 609-258-6230 at least a week in advance.
