Peak Potential is all about helping kids achieve more than they thought was possible. Using the OA Climbing Wall and a team approach, volunteers help children with motor disabilities reach new heights (literally). All children require a belayer and many also require a climber with an additional belayer. The climber encourages the child and may help them place hands and feet on holds as they climb. OA is looking for students who would be interested in working with children at the Wall on a weekly basis throughout the semester. No previous climbing experience is required, although you will need to go through a belay training and orientation in order to work with children with disabilities.

Peak Potential will run Fridays 7-8 pm weekly starting in February. All volunteers will need to be belay certified. If you aren't, this is not a problem because OA has many belay classes a week! You will have to sign up on MyPrincetonU for a class and then an assessment on a different day.

We have a MANDATORY training with JenFu Cheng '93, a Princeton Alumni and founder of Peak Potential on Saturday, February 7th at 4 pm. This should take approximately 2 hours, so mark your calendars!
