Although Princeton University's LGBTQIA+ community was formally recognized with the opening of the LGBT Center in 2005 (now the Gender + Sexuality Resource Center), Princetonians of many different genders and sexualities have long been present on campus. This session will give participants the opportunity to interact with archival material related to LGBTQIA+ Princetonians over time, including the pain of the 1930s closet, the gender transition journey of a member of the Class of 1946, the rocky path toward inclusion in the 20th and 21st centuries, and more.
