Iymon Majid, a member of the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, explores the relation between secularism, sovereignty and state authority in Kashmir by focusing on the politics of time. It poses the following questions: How is time managed and governed in Kashmir? And what kind of tensions, paradoxes, and contradictions does it bring to the fore?
