Rajbir Singh Judge is Assistant Professor of History at California State University, Long Beach, and, during this academic year, a Member of the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. His first book, Prophetic Maharaja: Loss, Sovereignty, and the Sikh Tradition in Colonial South Asia was published by Columbia University Press in September 2024. His previous publications have appeared in numerous journals including Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa, and the Middle EastModern Asian StudiesTheory & Eventpositions: asia critiqueCultural CritiqueHistory & Theory, and the Journal of the History of Sexuality, among others.
