This workshop will convene to collaborate on translating and discussing South Asian literature and culture. South Asian texts are written in dozens of languages and are difficult to get hold of and read. There are currently few opportunities for students to gather and discuss them — or the challenges and pleasures of working with them. This group seeks to provide that space.

The second session of the South Asia Translation Workshop will take place on Wednesday, March 6th at 4:30 PM on zoom.

This session will look at Rabindranath Tagore's short story "Tota Kahini." The text has been excerpted in the original Bangla as well in Hindi.

We will be conducting this session entirely online, so please feel free to share this announcement with friends and translation-enthusiasts beyond the Princeton area.
