Prakash Jha, in conversation with Gyan Prakash, Dayton-Stockton Professor of History, will introduce the genre of Indian cinema(s) featured recently at the 2023 Oscars. They will discuss the trajectory of Jha’s work and how Indian cinema — the largest film industry in the world situated in the most populous nation — has represented socio-political issues over the years.
