This workshop provides an introduction to machine learning using Python. Participants will use Scikit-Learn, Pandas and Matplotlib to solve machine learning problems using supervised learning techniques.

Workshop format: Presentation with hands-on exercises.

Target audience: This workshop is for those with no experience with machine learning. The material is appropriate for undergraduates students and above.

Knowledge prerequisites: Some experience with Python and knowledge of basic calculus.

Hardware/software prerequisites: For this workshop, users must have an account on our Adroit cluster, and they should confirm that they can SSH into Adroit at least a few hours beforehand. Details on all of the above can be found in this guide:

Learning objectives: Participants will come away with the ability to train machine learning models on simple data sets.
