This workshop is a follow up to the “Intro to Version Control Using Git” course. We will cover advanced git usage, including configuration, rerere, rebasing, and more.

Learning objectives: Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of git, several practical workflows, the operating theory of git’s design, and advanced configuration options.

Knowledge prerequisites: knowledge of git and basic terminal familiarity. We strongly recommend that you read the Pro Git book. (

Hardware/software prerequisites: Git installed on either your personal computer or a server that you can SSH into.
