Large language models have transformed how we conduct research. In this workshop, we will talk about how one can: (1) fine-tune and evaluate a language model on their own data; (2) use large-language-model-powered embedding tools for clustering, classification, and other tasks; and (3) access frontier large language models via APIs.

Knowledge prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Python

Hardware/software prerequisites: This workshop will use Google Colab so only a web browser is needed.

Workshop format: Demonstration

Target audience: Students, researchers, faculty, staff
