Connecting Visual Studio Code to the Research Computing Clusters
Registration
Registration is now closed (this event already took place).
Details
In this workshop, we will explore the setup, configuration, and efficient use of Microsoft's Visual Studio Code (VS Code) as it relates to working on Princeton's Research Computing clusters. We will focus primarily on programming in Python and C++, but adding tools for other languages as needed is trivial. We will also explore Git/GitHub integrations that allow for efficient version control and basic debugging options in interactive sessions (e.g. those spawned using salloc). Additionally, the use of GitHub Copilot while coding will be scattered throughout.
