Details
Join us for a Musical Theatre Cabaret! Princeton University Players is hosting this cabaret for anyone to participate in: if you've never set foot on a stage, or if you can recite Hamilton in your sleep, we want you! PUP will work with you if you need help with finding a song, learning the music, having accompaniment, and the digital-performance aspect. We will be fostering an encouraging environment, perfect for trying new things! In this judgement-free environment, we highly encourage every to get out of their comfort zones: sing from a different genre, try something outside of your typecast, and have fun with it! In addition, we will be using costuming, lights, and music to make the cabaret production high-quality for participants and audience members.
The final premiere of the cabaret will be on our slotted Wintersession date, open for your friends, family, peers, and anyone else you would like to invite to the viewing.
*** Registration for this event is registering to participate. Viewing the performance will be a Zoom call open to the public.
What to expect:
We will have multiple rehearsals that will include practicing of music, vocal and acting instruction for less experienced participants, confidence building, beginner choreography, and community building/arts inclusion! Our rehearsals will begin as individual with just the performer and production team, then later the performers will rehearse together and perform for an audience. Performers: please expect a minor time commitment outside of the scheduled Wintersession slots.
To request accommodations for this event, please contact the workshop or event facilitator at least 3 working days prior to the event.
