Learning objectives:
Attendees will leave with an understanding of the various technologies available in the cloud, their use cases, and the associated product names for these technologies used by the different cloud providers. A glossary will also be provided to each attendee. Participants will also see cloud concepts in action in Microsoft Azure, including accessing storage, creating and accessing virtual machines, and more.
Knowledge prerequisites:
This workshop presumes no previous knowledge of cloud computing.
Hardware/software prerequisites:
A Microsoft Azure account is recommended for this hands-on training. Meet the facilitator:
Irene Kopaliani, PhD, CISA, CISM, CDPSE, who thinks most bios are pretty boring, wants to live in a world where laundry folds itself, superheroes wrangle traffic, and clouds form themselves into data centers. In the meantime, she helps researchers with commercial cloud deployment and information security.
