Creative Coding is a type of computer programming with the goal of thinking and being expressive. The typical process of making software places the function of code at the center, in contrast creative coding places great focus on art and storytelling. While some interactive coding projects follow certain principles, our goal is to make something that is interactive, and with beauty. For beginning programmers, creative coding serves as a bridge closing the gap between art and programming. In writing code, the designer gives control over the algorithm to ijmplement an idea. Together the deisgner and the code become united in the co-design of art. Creative code is a form of generative art, there is a process of making new forms, shapes, colors, and patterns resulting from algorithms.
