Have you ever made a purchase on Amazon or Ebay from a seller based in China? Did you ever wonder why products can be delivered to you in a timely manner? In this winter session, we will take you on a trip to visit Elogistic, a Chinese company that provides global cross-border e-commerce and has warehouses in the U.S., Australia, and several European countries. We will visit its intelligent warehouse located in Monroe Township, NJ. You will get a chance to communicate with the administration of the company and talk to Chinese immigrants and Americans who work for the company. There will be a 90-minute pre-departure meeting discussing the business model of such global e-commerce companies. All discussions and most activities will be conducted in Chinese.

Participants are required to have studied Chinese for at least three years or have advanced-level proficiency.

Meet the Facilitator: Jing Wang is Senior Lecturer and Associate Director of the Chinese Language Program at Princeton. She received her Ph.D. in Chinese Literature from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
