This four hour tour will take participants on a walking tour of the City of Trenton. Participants will visit locations and meet current residents, and will learn more about the role of African Americans in the city. This tour will examine some of the problems poor people face in Trenton. Participants will also learn about some new projects that are taking place, and how the arts are helping to shape a new narrative.

The day will end at a local restaurant where participants will be able to share a meal and reflect on the day.

Meet the Facilitator: Ida B. Malloy is currently a Community Partner In-Residence at the Pace Center. She is a lifelong resident of the City of Trenton, and finds joy in sharing the history of her city with others. Ida is deeply committed to changing the landscape and the narrative of Trenton. Ida believes that like many things, Trenton is filled with hidden gems that are waiting to be discovered.
