Alternative grading methods have become increasingly popular at Princeton in recent semesters. What are the benefits of rethinking our usual approaches to grading? What are some of the challenges? In this panel—a follow-up to last month’s Teaching and Learning Now conversation—four Princeton faculty will share the why and how of implementing alternative grading systems in their classes and discuss their outcomes.

Panelists:
Alexander Glaser, Associate Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and International Affairs, Princeton School of Public and International Affairs
Brian Herrera, Associate Professor of Theater in the Lewis Center for the Arts
Barbara White, Professor of Music
Stacy Wolf, Professor of Theater in the Lewis Center for the Arts and American Studies

Moderator:
Jessica Del Vecchio, Senior Associate Director, McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning
