MakeNet: 3D

Join Princeton University MakeNet as we explore all things in 3D this Spring. MakeNet: 3D runs throughout the month of April, with workshops exploring creativity in three dimensions: from plaster casting to ASMR, and 3D modeling to virtual reality, come explore the many ways to participate in making on campus. On April 26th, we'll hold a final celebratory event at the PUL Makerspace, where students can showcase 3D works and participate in a raffle for prizes!

RAFFLE, CONTEST, PRIZES

Raffle: To get a raffle ticket, attend any of the MakeNet: 3D workshops listed below, or come to the final event on April 26th.

3D Contest: On April 26th, we'll hold a contest for the best-in-show 3D creation. Bring a 3D work of your own design to enter. Works can be in any medium.

Prizes: Raffle and contest winners will be announced at the final event on April 26th. Winners will get to choose their prize from a list of prizes (list coming soon!).

MONDAY, 4/10, 6:00-7:30 PM
Plaster Casting Workshop @ PUL Makerspace
Students will create casts of their own hands and use 3D printed molds.

MONDAY, 4/17, 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Become an ASMRtist @ StudioLab
Learn to create sounds that "tingle" and the science behind them. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with an appreciation for ASMR and how to use various mics to make your own ASMR.

Dive into 3D with Virtual Reality @ Stokes Library
Play games, explore virtual worlds, and watch movies in 3D.

FRIDAY, 4/21, 1:00 - 4:00 PM
More Than Just a Box: Laser Cut Tea Light Box @ Keller Makerspace
Learn how to build objects using the laser cutter, and assemble your own little tea light box. We will have pre-cut templates.

Final Celebration: 3D Showcase @ PUL Makerspace
