A forward-thinking conversation between two leading voices in the humanities about ways to exponentially accelerate professional development and diversify opportunities for graduate students. Ann Kirschner *78 is a University Professor at The City University of New York and Faculty Fellow at the Futures Initiative, a Princeton University Trustee and co-chair of the Dean’s Leadership Council for the Graduate School. She will be joined by Paula Krebs, Executive Director of the Modern Language Association (MLA) for a fireside chat regarding the future of graduate education, the importance of professional development, and how doctoral education can develop students’ capacities to bring the expertise they acquire in advanced humanistic study to a wide range of fulfilling careers.

This event is part of the GradFUTURES FORUM, a week-long conference dedicated to graduate student professional development and broadening the impact of the Ph.D, within and beyond the Academy.
