Session Description: For a long time, scientists and the media have been taught that no single weather event can be linked to climate change. As science has advanced and as the climate change signal has become stronger, that narrative is breaking down. This talk will present the science that allows us to connect the dots from local conditions to climate change. It will also consider the value of attribution science in advancing public understanding of climate change.
